Look of the day "Queen of Orange"

As promised, the pictures from my outfit during Queensday. In the end I decided to choose a casual chic outfit that would be great for during the day as well as for my besties b-day dinner party at night! As you can see I opted for several orange details like the shoes and the pastel orange knit as well as a nice orange shade nailpolish. That way you are still dressed in orange for queensday without making a fool of yourself and still be stylish!

Luckily enough the weather treated us nice, it was a nice warm and sunny day! Since most of the day in holland it is either cold, rainy or cloudy. But strangely almost every year during Queensday we have great weather! Queensday is a great day, besides the weather there are a lot of activities being held. As well as large day markets. Since it is the only day a year that you do not need a permit to sell anything on the streets. So most people just empty their basements, attics or garages and try to sell their stuff on the streets. A lot of garbage in general but sometimes you can find some nice treasures!

During the day I went with my parents and boyfriend to on of these markets and found two great and old Indonesian cookbooks which made me very hapy. Since cooking is on of my passions and I love Indonesian food (My lovely boyfriend is half Indonesian). By night I attended my best friends birthday party. It was great to see everyone again. Unfortunately time always flies when you are having a good time and are surrounded by nice people! That's what matters most, good friends, good wine and good fingerfood!
